Have you all noticed this fabulous streetstyle trend? The one where ladies pair a plain white or grey tee—or one with a cheeky saying—with a prim pencil skirt and pumps? Can I just say I LOVE it?
What a chic, fresh look, and an easy recipe:
- Take a short-sleeved tee that’s just a little roomy and roll up the sleeves.
- Slip on a pencil skirt of virtually any fabrication and tuck your tee into it.
- Add heels and a pile on the jewelry and you’re done!
Get the look:
And for additional bling, there are so many eternity rings from Pepper Pink I love, I could stack them up to the sky—totally swooning over all the rose gold ones.

Yes, I really love this combination, I need to find the perfect tee so I can rock this too! Feels like it’s been a while since I’ve read your blog but it’s great to be back!

I am a huge fan of a t-shirt skirt combo ( don’t believe me? see here: http://northonharper.com/2012/03/dailybuzz-stye-madewell-event/). I actually like to grab Lukus’ shirts for this (if he’ll let me), just really love the juxtaposition of super casual with a bit more style….

Like Alexis, I am also a big fan. I’m such a minimal/effortless kind-of-girl so this is awesome.

I must have been ahead of the trend, because I’ve been pairing tees, pencil skirts, and heels for years. Love it!

Love it! I have the pencil skirt and the stilettos, but I think I need a blousy t-shirt. None of mine say anything, and they’re all very fitted. I feel an urge to copy the look coming on. Thanks for pointing it out!

I agree, I love this combo! It’s so fun and unexpected! One of the things I love most about fashion is combining the unexpected and making it work! I def think I’m gonna have to try this one out!

Me too, Stephanie. I like high/low and also feminine with a rocker or hard edge. Those kind of contradictions keep it interesting.

Cool…I’ve been way behind, mostly because I have always hated t-shirts. But a slim tee with rolled sleeves? Love.
I think it’s a great combination! Specially the one with sequins.
If that’s a trend….I LOVE IT!!!!
