The Day Before with Frida, Gucci Style v3.3 Released

Tomorrow is the big day! Like a rabid football fan, I start getting a little excited in the days coming up to every Gucci women’s fashion show, even if I’m not able to be in Milan to enjoy them in person.

So while we count down the hours to the livestream, which you can watch here at 8:00am ET on Wednesday, February 22, 2012, here are some Gucci tidbits to keep you occupied…

The Day Before with Frida Giannini

First, a sneak peek at collection fabrics and colors and a candid interview with Gucci’s Creative Director, Frida Giannini. (Note: embedding of the video was not allowed, so when you click the image or link, a new window will open to La Repubblica’s Gucci: Black romanticism).

In discussing the fall winter 2012 collection, Giannini speaks to the essence of the Gucci woman—”very feminine, very sensual, at the same time [she] can be very tough and powerful.” And that, my friends, is why Gucci resonates so readily with today’s women. Isn’t that the very definition of the modern woman?

Gucci Style: App Version 3.3 Released

Gucci Style App, version 3.3 dropped today, so you can enjoy spring 2012 collection highlights and #ladolcegucci via delicious interactive features. The app also includes Gucci social feeds so you can follow @Gucci tweets (and more) from wherever you are.

No iPhone or iPad? Well, boo. You’re missing out. But you can see a few of the screens by clicking the link above.

Hello, Noah…

Thanks to the app, now I’m thinking I seriously need the Noah pump. Seeeeeeeriously. Isn’t it just a spectacular looking stiletto?

I can just see myself…sharp black suit, legs crossed across the top of my desk, iPad in hand,  Noah pumps gleaming black romanticism and magic…

Yes, Frida. Very feminine, very sensual, very tough, and very powerful.

OK, waking up from my fantasy now.

See you at 8am sharp tomorrow, kiddies! Get your double-G’s on for game day!
