Camille Zarsky Portfolio Clutch

What happens when you combine luxe red, croco-embossed leather, gold hardware, lots of pockets and zips, and room for an iPad? You get the Camille Zarsky Portfolio Clutch—and a whole lot of attention!

I can’t tell you how excited I was when I was contacted about giving the Portfolio Clutch a test run. I’ve actually been looking for a way to tote my iPad and essentials with me, and had been using my leather American Apparel Medium Zip Clutch, but the problem with that is that it’s not lined. So I was getting leather “lint” stuck on my iPad and wireless keyboard. Not pretty, and actually really annoying.

I knew I’d be heading to Tampa for Blogger Brilliance with my iPad in tow—a great opportunity to see if it this solution had both the style and substance I’ve been looking for. I was FedExed the clutch overnight (thank God for FedEx, right?), and I have to admit that the compliments started even with the bag screeners at the airport as I began my Tampa journey. Since you have to take computers out and put in them in the x-ray trays separately, my little clutch was already turning heads. The TSA agent was impressed when in a sea of black laptop cases, she saw this:

The back of the clutch…big zipper pocket perfect for fast-access to your business cards.

Of COURSE, at Blogger Brilliance, the ladies in attendance raved (and tweeted) about my clutch. I just knew croco-stamped red would provide the perfect pop of color and texture for my black and white snake pants. The clutch was easy to carry and just the right size.

And here’s what I had inside: My iPad, my huuuuuuge Mont Blanc wallet, my iPhone and charger (at the bottom, not visible in these shots), a compact, two lipsticks, and a slew of business cards in the outside pocket.

So all-in-all? I love Camille Zarsky’s tech- and fashion-friendly clutch. It can definitely function as your only bag for the the day, as I proved in Tampa. The only thing I’d change is to make the bottom of it gusseted for max capacity—I can carry my iPad and Apple wireless keyboard in it with nothing else except my charger (please, Apple, more battery power!). But true to my more-is-more, big bag mentality, I’d like to be able to get the keyboard, iPad, iPhone, wallet, and basic essentials in it.

That said, I know this clutch is going to be in high rotation—I’ve already carried it to a couple business meetings, and it truly is an eye-catching accessory that puts the finishing touch on both business or casual looks.

Thanks again to Camille Zarsky for this lovely addition to my clutch collection!

Now I have more disgusting bag lust. It’s awful. I just found the Rebecca Minkoff bag I HAVE to own (MAC, black with ghw) and the clutch you’ve shown here will be added to the list. You are so bad Vahni! In a good way!

Thanks Courtney. There’s no auto play music on my site! You know I know better than that! I have two full posts that show on my homepage at a time, and right now the Gucci livestream is below. I have no control over the auto playing, but you can click the pause button and it will stop. Please note this is a temporary inconvenience.

      Thanks!

I couldn’t figure out if it was hot pink or red it looked more red in the photo of you stood up. It’s awesome that you can get your iPad into a clutch though.. that’s super convenient AND then still have space for other stuff as well. I’d love to see some pics from the blogger brilliance meet up.

OMGahhh! I absolutely love this clutch, mostly because of the use.. I’m a fan of fashion items that can actually serve more than intended pretty display. I agree about if the bottom was changed to fit more, but I can’t believe it fits so much actually already… iPad?. Well done V!
*I’ll take those pants= they are so fab!

Wow, that is an amazing outfit and the size of the clutch is perfect. I would leave it stupidly on the snack table or something; if it’s not strapped to me, I’d lose it! But, the color is fabulous and it seems it holds just enough.
