Come see me at #IFBCon and Blogger Brilliance!

I want to start this post with a big THANK YOU to you, my readers and supporters.

Without you, G&G wouldn’t be what it is today, and I wouldn’t have been invited to participate in two fashion blogging events this September. To think that I’d be asked to share my thoughts at three conferences this year—well, it’s more than I ever imagined when I started this blog a hundred years ago in 2006.

Since then, we’ve grown together, learned together, comforted each other, celebrated milestones, and held hands virtually, you and me. So thank you. In a moment of cheesiness, but with sincerity, to coin a Bette Midler song, you are the wind beneath my wings (aside from my mama, of course). It’s because of you that I have made it this far. It’s because I so enjoy our conversations, that, like you, I spend countless hours on photos, posts, graphics, tweets, etc.—all outside of my full-time job, and full-time life. You keep me inspired, curious, and driven to better understand this medium and technology. Again, thank you so very much.

OK. Now, the deets, just in case you haven’t heard…

IFB Con | New York | September 7

Please join me at what’s going to be the BEST #IFBCon so far. It’s stunning how much blogging and the conference has grown, even since February. And uh , hello—Elle Creative Director Joe Zee is the keynote speaker. That’s worth the price of the ticket alone!

I’ve been invited to participate in the first panel of the day, and I am so honored and psyched! The deets on my panel:

Moderator: Christen Rochon, Divas & Dorks • Panelists: Leandra Medine, Man Repeller • Vahni Georgoulakos, Grit and Glamour • Sammy Davis, Sammy Davis Vintage • Erica Chan Coffman and Lauren Kolodny, Honestly WTF, Alisa Gould Simon of Pose.com

Blogger Brilliance | Tampa | September 17

I’ll have just enough time to fly home and overpack my luggage again before heading to Tampa to participate as a panelist at the Blogger Brilliance conference. And another man in fashion that I love will be there too: the affable, fabulous Tim Gunn. (Wonder if he’ll remember me?)

I love that this conference has two tracks—fashion and foodie—two of my favorite things in the world. How to choose?! Maybe I’ll sneak back and forth between the two. Oh, and champers and cupcakes from 2 to 4pm? I’m so there! If you’re in the southeastern U.S. and can’t make New York, I hope you’ll try to pop over to Tampa. Or like Ms. Pretty Shiny Sparkly and me, do both!
