It’s scorching in the south right now. So God bless air con and God bless cotton.

Photo editing that can fake the appearance of a tan? Genius! Those boots are amazing and I love the way the nail color pops against them. It’s kind of unexpected. Have a fab weekend!

Mmh I have to say that Here I especially like your sandals boots’ “casual GLAMazon” vibrancy, their “high content of Fetish appeal” (AND the way your flashy / blue polished toes subtly tend to instil a mischievous hint of GLAM through this strong aesthetics) !!!

Thanks hon! I can’t wait to see your DIY! I admire your DIY abilities. I so do not have them.
Ok V, tell me the truth, do the boot/sandals make your feet hot? I see the open foot part so I’m guessing they don’t, but what about around the ankles? I am more than curious.

Nice tan

July 10, 2010
HA…the tan…
They are a little warm in the ankle. But since I only spend a minute outside walking between the air con in my car and my next air conditioned destination, it doesn’t really matter. Plus, I’ve been known to suffer worse discomfort and indignities in the name of vanity.
…in the name of vanity….Amen sister, amen.

I love Picasa and Picnik for that – instant tans and even colouring. But jokes aside, I usually have to increase the brightness on my pix since winter began and that’s a bonus. Love the sandals.

Julia, you’re a sweetie. You know I’m totally in love with your rings too! Especially that three-stone onyx one. So wish I could get my fingers on one of those!
Thanks for your comment!
Those sandal boots are fantastically unique – who would have thought. And cotton in the summer – good cotton is a must isn’t? Enjoy a relaxing weekend! =)

Your so right, comfy cotton is the best answer to the summer heat.

This outfit is genius! I would never have thought to pair the cotton tunic tank with crochet detail with a denim skirt and sandal boots but it looks amazing. I actually have a very similar top that I always style the same way so this definitely provided some inspiration. May I also just add that your legs look phenomenal. Hot!! xx

What a great casual summer look! The jewelry is great too!!! I love the Hubby nickname ring. Id love to get one but I don’t think they’d have “Bells” haha Oh I’ve been meaning to ask you, in one of your Vlogs about nail polish you mentioned you take vitamins for hair and nails? I would love to know if you have any suggestions. You hair is so long and fabulous!!

Liz, My Republic of Fashion, Jasna, Tuesdai, daisybabie—Thank you ladies for your sweet, sweet words and for your faithful visits to G&G. I am so grateful for your readership!
Brooke—Thank you…would love to see how you style your top. And thanks for your compliment on my legs…I’m blushing. But it feels good to know that the endless deadlifts, extensions, and lunges I do weekly are paying off!
Monique—Thanks honey! The ring is custom, so you can have “Bells” too! The vitamin I referenced in my vlog is Biotin. IT is excellent for hair and nails. I also eat a LOT of eggs and I swear that they keep my hair glossy. Fortunately I don’t have a cholesterol problem, and I work out regularly, so I can eat two eggs almost daily and I’m cool. Thanks again for your comment!
Wendy—That makes two of us. I never realized how much I loved air con til I moved to Australia and discovered it wasn’t the norm there.
Ms. Brit—Thanks hon! You’re always so kind. A bug virtual hug to you.
V- love the photography style. Who shoots your outdoor stuff? How do you stylize it? Love to hear your secrets!

VICTORIA!!!!! Long time no hear! So good to see your name. Belated congrats on your wedding!
I shoot all my own photos using a timer. I recently wrote a post about my tips and tricks: http://www.gritandglamour.com/2010/06/22/photography-for-the-amateur-stagefright-afflicted-blogger/
Picnik is awesome for photo editing. Under Create, use the Effects section to customize. My faves are Focal Soften, Boost, 1960s, Cross Process, and Orton-ish. I usually apply several effects to get my photos to look the way they do. The best thing to do is just get into Picnik and play.
Again, great to hear from you! Hope you are well!
Thanks so much! It’s so nice to have Wedded bliss this time around… I hope things are going well for you!
Somehow I missed that entry, but I thought it was really helpful- thanks V! I will definitely sign up for Picnik! (and hopefully I can make do without spending the extra on the premium!)
I really do need to get back to blogging, but it’s just been a bit hectic- newlywed-hood, web design, triathlons and now I’m selling jewelry (email me offline if you want any for your blog!)
Love the lace detail on the back, it is great! You have such cool rings, I adore them!
