  1. stunning as always! i love the feel your photos have… there’s always something so artistic about them.

this outfit is like the epitome of chic and cool with the perfect air of nonchalance.

  2. Jemina, Piper, Leia, Karolina, Celine, Avital, Kristy—thank you all for your sweet comments and blog support! Wishing you all a fantabulous weekend. ♥ V

  3. Mmh I have to say that Here I especially like your sandals boots’ “casual GLAMazon” vibrancy, their “high content of Fetish appeal” (AND the way your flashy / blue polished toes subtly tend to instil a mischievous hint of GLAM through this strong aesthetics) !!!

  4. Ok V, tell me the truth, do the boot/sandals make your feet hot? I see the open foot part so I’m guessing they don’t, but what about around the ankles? I am more than curious.

    Nice tan 🙂

    1. HA…the tan…

They are a little warm in the ankle. But since I only spend a minute outside walking between the air con in my car and my next air conditioned destination, it doesn’t really matter. Plus, I’ve been known to suffer worse discomfort and indignities in the name of vanity.

  5. I love Picasa and Picnik for that – instant tans and even colouring. But jokes aside, I usually have to increase the brightness on my pix since winter began and that’s a bonus. Love the sandals.

    1. Thank you! Yes, photo editing software is amazing. Even the subtlest effect can really transform the feeling of a photo.

  6. Lovely photos, nice editing all right.. I found you through Tuesdai’s interview, and your post on laser hair removal was pretty hilarious, thanks for the warning! I will definitely be keeping up and am following you on bloglovin’ from this point forth 😀

    1. Well, Miss ED, thank you so very much! I’m following you right back! Love your archeological dig-inspiration post. I’m such a fan of that look.

      Welcome!

  7. Gorgeous pic’s as usual 🙂
Those shoes are amazing! Loving the rings too….stunning! I’ve been looking for a Lapis ring but I haven’t found the one just yet.
    Hope you’re having a great weekend 🙂

    1. Julia, you’re a sweetie. You know I’m totally in love with your rings too! Especially that three-stone onyx one. So wish I could get my fingers on one of those!

      Thanks for your comment!

    1. Ha! I know, right? People always stare at those sandal boots when I wear them—but I also tend to get loads of compliments. They go over. Jessica scored on those!

Thanks for popping over…heading to your tea post now.

  8. Your so right, comfy cotton is the best answer to the summer heat.
I love the crochet on the back of the tank, it’s so pretty, and I love how you’ve photographed your jewelry!

    1. Thank you Lyddie! That is one of my favorite tunic tanks I picked up in Australia. So wish I had another one.

      Thanks for stopping by!

    1. Hi Athena, welcome! Thanks for your compliments and comment. I just popped over to your blog and LOVED your latest post!

  9. Hey 🙂

I’m lovin’ the garden…too perfect (don’t you just LOOK photography ha) and those heels are BADDDDDD, love’em. Hope you’re having a fab day 🙂

  10. This outfit is genius! I would never have thought to pair the cotton tunic tank with crochet detail with a denim skirt and sandal boots but it looks amazing. I actually have a very similar top that I always style the same way so this definitely provided some inspiration. May I also just add that your legs look phenomenal. Hot!! xx

  11. What a great casual summer look! The jewelry is great too!!! I love the Hubby nickname ring. Id love to get one but I don’t think they’d have “Bells” haha Oh I’ve been meaning to ask you, in one of your Vlogs about nail polish you mentioned you take vitamins for hair and nails? I would love to know if you have any suggestions. You hair is so long and fabulous!!

  12. Hello Bling, i think you belong to me!!! Love ’em all girl!
I also have similar crochet back cotton tunic… but in black – you’d love! Hope you had a good w/end hun.

p.s love the photo editing job – isn’t it just a blessing, no real tan needed!

  13. Liz, My Republic of Fashion, Jasna, Tuesdai, daisybabie—Thank you ladies for your sweet, sweet words and for your faithful visits to G&G. I am so grateful for your readership!

Brooke—Thank you…would love to see how you style your top. And thanks for your compliment on my legs…I’m blushing. But it feels good to know that the endless deadlifts, extensions, and lunges I do weekly are paying off!

Monique—Thanks honey! The ring is custom, so you can have “Bells” too! The vitamin I referenced in my vlog is Biotin. IT is excellent for hair and nails. I also eat a LOT of eggs and I swear that they keep my hair glossy. Fortunately I don’t have a cholesterol problem, and I work out regularly, so I can eat two eggs almost daily and I’m cool. Thanks again for your comment!

Wendy—That makes two of us. I never realized how much I loved air con til I moved to Australia and discovered it wasn’t the norm there.

Ms. Brit—Thanks hon! You’re always so kind. A bug virtual hug to you.

  14. V- love the photography style. Who shoots your outdoor stuff? How do you stylize it? Love to hear your secrets! 🙂 Keep blogging and make up for my slackness.

    1. VICTORIA!!!!! Long time no hear! So good to see your name. Belated congrats on your wedding!

I shoot all my own photos using a timer. I recently wrote a post about my tips and tricks: http://www.gritandglamour.com/2010/06/22/photography-for-the-amateur-stagefright-afflicted-blogger/

Picnik is awesome for photo editing. Under Create, use the Effects section to customize. My faves are Focal Soften, Boost, 1960s, Cross Process, and Orton-ish. I usually apply several effects to get my photos to look the way they do. The best thing to do is just get into Picnik and play.

Again, great to hear from you! Hope you are well!

      1. Thanks so much! It’s so nice to have Wedded bliss this time around… I hope things are going well for you!
Somehow I missed that entry, but I thought it was really helpful- thanks V! I will definitely sign up for Picnik! (and hopefully I can make do without spending the extra on the premium!)

I really do need to get back to blogging, but it’s just been a bit hectic- newlywed-hood, web design, triathlons and now I’m selling jewelry (email me offline if you want any for your blog!)
