When all else fails, I can count on some version of a wifebeater and black wide-leg trousers to get me through. It’s my favorite way to do the menswear look—only with a harness instead of suspenders.
Sometimes I like to get in touch with my inner tomboy because for five minutes, you get to feel what it’s like to be free in your clothes (like a man). No tugging up or pulling down. No fiddling with a scarf or adjusting your belt every time you go from sitting to standing. No worrying about a sudden upshot of air, or accidentally catching the back of your skirt in your panties. It’s an effortless feeling (until you get to the platform stilettos, of course). But I said five minutes, right?

Ooooh, you do boy chic so well, Vahni! Nothing beats a white tank top paired with a dark washed jeans or black pants. Might be simple, but totally hot in its own simple way.
