So you’ve seen my Forever 21 military jacket paired with trousers and a blouse for the office. I often have cocktails after work, and although I’d be just fine in my work attire, I never miss an opportunity for a costume change.
Look 2: From Conferences to Cocktails
Before hitting my favorite martini bar, I could easily step into the ladies lounge, slip out of my pumps, pants, and blouse—and throw on this Kookai skirt and Dolce Vita sandals. Suddenly, I’m a little more dressed, even if I’m less so. I’ve zipped up the jacket to balance the amount of leg I’m showing, and a bronzey-brown Decjuba tassel clutch holds cards, lipstick, keys, and my iPhone.
I love this skirt with this jacket for a couple reasons: it echoes the layered ruffle detail of the jacket, and those feminine ruffles counter the jacket’s masculinity.
