Finger Armor and Hinged Ring Hunt

BCBG Spring/Summer 2010 Hinged Ring

So ever since I got this full-finger, BCBG hinged ring, I am craaaazeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee for full-finger rings. I can’t tell you how many compliments I’ve gotten on this ring; I love it, and so do all the sales girls at my local shopping haunts. Apparently a lot of other people are looking for hinged rings as well, because I’m getting a lot of keyword activity on this subject.

Then I spotted this photo of Aussie Lara Bingle sporting the coolest (not-yet-released) camilla and marc full finger rings. I die! How on earth am I going to get hold of these over here in the States? Unfortunately, a lot of Aussie designers are very slow to implement online shopping on their sites. And if they have, many won’t ship outside of Oz. Are they crazy? There are so many U.S.-based fashaholics who would pay anything to get some of those products sent over.

Lara Bingle wears Spring/summer 2010-11 rings by camilla and marc.

In typical fashion, I now want more big. Ass. Rings. And preferably a pair so I can do the ring equivalent of Wonder Woman cuffs. I’ve scoured the ‘Net, so everyone, here’s what I found, for your shopping pleasure…

Gothic Filigree Armour Hinged Silver Ring, $108
BCBG Rhinestone Embellished Ring Set, $148.
Cowboy Horse Saddle Pewter Armor Ring, $25.37.
Sterling Silver Finger Armor Ring w/ Rope Edge Design, $91.75.
Distressed Finger Cuff Ring, $45.
Vagabond Knuckle Armor Ring, $75.
Pamela Love Double Cage Ring, $414.

    1. Hi…thanks for your comment! I have indeed seen the BCBG ring in gunmetal. It was online for like five minutes…I have seen it in my local store. You might try calling to see if you can have it shipped from another store. Good luck!

  1. OK, I so want one now, too!

By the way, have you ever heard about Loree Rodkin jewelry? So amazing! Check out these mad full-finger rings (especially the top one) and you’ll know what I mean: http://img189.imageshack.us/img189/3080/loreerodkinhingedring.jpg – Too bad her stuff runs in the thousands because otherwise I’d so buy one for myself :-((

    1. Irina, I have heard of Loree Rodkin…her pieces are amazing, but so expensive I didn’t even bother to include them. Good thing is that a lot of companies are catching on to this trend, so I expect soon we’ll have lots of options!

  2. Thanks for the great article. My girlfriend and I love rings like these, and as you have noticed, good ones are very hard to come by (especially for a reasonable price!). One we found that she really loves and wears all the time came from Oceana Legends (http://www.oceania-legends.com/rings/finger-armour/cat_14.html). It’s in the UK and it took a good while to ship to the states, but it was well worth the wait and the expense. It is without doubt her favorite ring and has held up well over several years of almost daily wear.

Would love to pick up a set of those Camilla and Marc rings if they come in a color other than gold. Wish I knew some folks down under to work out a buying/shipping arrangement.

    1. Fantastic! Thanks, Brian. Glad you liked the post and that you and your gal pal found a nice piece. That site has some great stuff!

I sooooo wish I could get the Camilla and Marc rings in ANY color! Wouldn’t it be nice. Unfortunately so many Aussie designers and shops don’t ship overseas.
