I’m crazy about the nude dress/shoe trend that’s been brewing in the last few months. Nude shoes are no fashion revelation; on the contrary, they are one of the greatest well-known “secrets” of fashion. Want to add three-to-five inches to your legs? Wear a nude pump, with or without a peep-toe or platform (though a sophisticated platform is even more flattering to the leg).
Nude pumps are like concealer for your feet—they go with literally everything—dresses, skirts, shorts, pants, leggings, jeans.
True all-around, all-season, all-purpose shoes. And they go with almost any bag you choose to carry.
No wardrobe is complete without a nude pump. But to get the maximum benefit, be sure to choose a pair as close as possible to your skin tone. Which shouldn’t be difficult because these days nude pumps can be procured in virtually any tone, and at every price point. I recently scored a gorgeous pair from Aldo that is perfect for my fair-to-medium skin tone. Can’t wait to wear them this week for the first time. If you only buy one thing this spring, make it a nude pump.

I’m so going to buy me a pair of nude pumps this spring. I just did a post on nude shoes on ITC yesterday and I just loved all the nude ALDO heels, so I featured them there as well. Love your pick, Vahni!

Thank you Irina! It’s taken me a long time to get beyond wearing black shoes with everything (since I wear a LOT of black). A few years ago, I started mixing in metallics, and this year, it’s nude and brown. I’m really enjoying not being so matchy-matchy
.
In the past, I’ve hated nude shoes but I’m currently lusting after a pair. They’re incredibly versatile and much softer than black, which can overpower a pastel outfit. Love the pair you picked out!

Jillian, welcome and thank you! I am TOTALLY diggin’ your blog. Like your vibe.
Good pick. I accidentally discovered the beauty of nude shoes a few years ago … I had a pair of deep camel pumps and I was really tan from a vacation to Greece. I put them on and volia! My legs seemed two feet longer.
