Burberry Prorsum Fall 2010

I’m flippin’ mad for this collection. Totally OTT crazy for it to the point that I almost pre-ordered that cropped shearling jacket while it’s still available…for like $3K. Almost. If only the fashion gods would rain manna in the form of money so I can keep up with my insatiable need for more clothes/outerwear/shoes/accessories.

Anyway, somehow Christopher Bailey manages to out-do himself season after season. I thought Spring 2010 was going to be delicious. Fall is even more so. These looks are completely killing me! I am so going to figure out how to work them for less than $10k an outfit. Read more: Watch Burberry fall 2010 LFW show replay.

  1. A-MAZING collection! Just managed to watch the “livestream” and was absolutely delighted. Bailey gets better and better each season. Really didn’t think he could outdo himself with the S/S 2010. Love those oversized collar shearling jackets! *swoon* Also absolutely madly, deeply in love with the color palette (especially the plums and all the muddy greens).

  2. For me, the best part are the boots- wonderful! They’re not “me” but they are quite striking and, finally n’ thankfully, “wearable” footwear. Also, I really am intrigued with the silhouette of fitted yet filmy dresses underneath bulky outerwear jackets. A kind of urban-muse-romanticism going on here it seems and very Postmodern brilliant!

    1. Yeah, Lac, so loved those boots. But you know I love the OTK look. I agree with your observation about the mix of tough-meets-feminine…that is one of the most compelling aspects of modern fashion: the contradictions. They are so exciting!

    1. I know, it’s SICK!!! Thanks for commenting, and I loved your post on Anthropologie. That pin cushion blouse…might have to grab that one.
