Every once in a while, a designer puts out a collection that becomes permanently embedded in my fashion psyche. One such collection was produced by Olivier Theyskens during his short-lived stint at Rochas. Collections that sandwiched this season’s looks all paled in comparison, and it’s no wonder. The fall 2005 Rochas ready-to-wear collection featured several Edwardian looks—complete with cascading ruffles and nipped waists— that did wonders for the female form. The fashion world declared him a genius, and I concurred.
When it comes to this collection, I say reeeeeeeeeeee-wind!
