StyleShot: Hugh Jackman

September 30, 2009

Australia, for many Americans, is an unknown and faraway land that in recent years has excelled in the exportation of Hollywood talent. Aside from the spate of truly gifted actors coming out of Oz, let it be known that Australia does two more things exceedingly well: wine and men.

The wine is vast and varied; sweet, light, with the essence of pear and hints of berry and chocolate and all the other adjectives your local pontificating oenophile can swish and spit.

The men are also vast and varied, with a rugged gorgeousness that is rare in the States. They grow them big down in Oz, often dark with light eyes, that accent, and the ability to kick ass and do real physical labor. (Mind you, I am thoroughly biased, as my betrothed is 100% man’s man and 100% Aussie.)  But…at the end of the day, it’s the truth. Australia is a beautiful country with lots of tall, beautiful men.

I give you Exhibit A…one perfectly suited Hugh Jackman…THIS is the reason why a good suit does wonders for the body, and a good body does wonders for everything. And for more proof that Aussie men won’t take shit from anyone, watch the YouTube video of Hugh Jackman (and Brit Daniel Craig) calling out some idiot whose phone rang in the middle of their Broadway performance.
