While heading into the local grocery store I spotted the following:
Clothing and oddment donation bin.
Donate your oddments here, people!
This charity donation bin is mostly unremarkable except for the one thing I found odd: you can use it for the donation of oddments.
Oddments?
Huh?
Well, turns out “oddments” is a legitimate term to describe what I think most of us would call “odds and ends.” There is a lot of bizarre verbiage on signage in Oz, that much I’ve discovered.
