It’s not often that someone’s writing elicits a laugh out loud from me. But honey, let me tell you that Ms. Tex’s Fashion Butter is riotous. So much so that she has earned a permanent place on my links list, as well as in my heart. Yes, indeed, we are soul sisters, T! Two cheers for “bitches” the world over!
Here is just a sample of her jaded and hysterical brilliance:
- On Victoria Beckham: “Victoria Beckham gets way too much attention, but she damn deserves it. Have you ever seen anyone look so put together all the time? Sure, her boobs might look like a set of Tupperware bowls, but they get the job done. If I had to guess, that’s where she stores the glucose bags that keep her nourished.”
- On The Hills: “The Hills is a stupid ass show but I watch it anyways. Yes, I am sixteen with no taste in entertainment. And I really enjoy hearing the word “like” in every sentence. It makes me feel smart. Let’s carry on.”
- On ankle boots: “Ankle boots need to have some kind of detail on them – a slouch, some hardware, pleating, ruching, texture, etc. Plain ankle boots are pointless. They are like birthday cake without frosting. Tacos without hot sauce. Tyra without her weave.”
